Micheline “Missy” Ruffin a native of Port-au-Prince, Haiti, was raised in Miami, FL., the second oldest of six children. She fell in love with dancing in Elementary school where she participated in many traditional Haitian Folk Dances in Miami, Fl in the “Little Haiti” community. She is affectionately known as “Missy” to family, friends, and students. She is married to William Ruffin and they have an adorable son, Yahci. Missy is a strong believer of Psalm 149:3 and very passionate about sharing God’s love and the Gospel of Jesus Christ through dance. Missy has participated in ministries, conferences, and dance workshops with well known Gospel artist nationwide. Trained in ballet, modern & jazz dance; she considers her forte to be liturgical dance and modern ballet. Missy received training under the leadership of the late Marcus Sherman, Zion Center Worship Arts ministry, The Christian School of Dance and Order My Step Christian Dance Company. She is honored to partner up alongside with three of her mentors and currently serve on the teaching staff of each ministry. Missy lives a life of worshiping the only true and living God and believes part of her mission is serving Christ as his ambassador as he uses her to bless his people though the ministry of dance . Missy is founder of Seeds of Praise Dance Ministry and is an active member of Get Ready International Outreach Church in Charlotte, NC, under the leadership of Pastor Neville and Paula Steele where she serves as the dance Minister. Missy has taught dance at several dancing schools and camps throughout the NC communities, and had the opportunity to share the gift of dance in Fl, SC, VA, and the Bahamas. Missy is excited about what God is doing in her life and others around her as she uses her BA in Psychology and MA in Theology to teach the gospel through dance to one day open a dance school. Missy is sure of this, that he who began a good work in her will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6).
